Past your allowance

When an allowance is used up, uploads pause and you choose: move up a tier, or turn on overage billing and keep going. Anything processed past the allowance is then billed on the 1st, for the month before, at the same rates on every plan. Storage is a limit, not metered.

How does the 7-day trial work?

Pick a plan and add a card. Nothing is charged for 7 days. Your subscription starts automatically on day 7 unless you cancel before then. Cancel inside the trial and you pay nothing; everything already analyzed stays in your account.

What is the difference between processing and storage?

Processing is new material Advocate analyzes each month: the footage watched, the audio transcribed, the pages read. Storage is everything kept in your account. Processing allowances reset monthly; storage does not.

What happens when I reach an allowance?

You choose. We tell you at 80 percent. At the allowance, new uploads pause and you pick how to continue: move up a tier, or turn on overage billing and keep going right away. Anything past the allowance is then billed on the 1st at the published rates: $5 per GB of video, $5 per GB of audio, $10 per GB of documents. Everything already uploaded stays searchable either way.

How do team seats work?

Litigator and Lead Counsel are priced per attorney, and the processing allowances pool across every seat on the account. One attorney's quiet month covers another's trial.

Can I bill Advocate to a client or a case?

Yes. Usage is metered per matter, with an itemized statement — passed through at cost on client invoices, fee petitions, and court-appointed vouchers, like court-reporter fees.

Who can see my files?

Access is matter-level: the attorney and the case team they authorize. Nobody else is in your case.
